FABRIC IDEAS
Choose a medium-weight fabric with some body that is still soft enough to drape. Cotton canvas, twill, lightweight denim, linen blends, corduroy and lightweight upholstery fabrics are lovely choices.
For a more special look, experienced sewists may enjoy making the bag in velvet, satin or sequined fabric. For patchwork, choose fabrics with a similar weight and thickness for easier sewing and a balanced finish.
