Suitable exterior fabrics include quilting cotton, cotton canvas, linen, cotton-linen blends, lightweight denim, corduroy, and other stable woven fabrics. You may also use pre-quilted fabric or add suitable batting or stabilizer when additional structure is desired.
For the Optional Adjustable Shoulder Strap
- One fabric strip: 55 × 4 in (140 × 10 cm)
- One additional fabric piece: 3 × 8 in (8 × 20 cm)
- Two 1 in (2.5 cm) metal rings or D-rings

Use a stable, non-stretch fabric with enough body for the strap. If your chosen fabric is lightweight, reinforce it with fusible interfacing.
